The Philadelphia Fight are proud to announce a new leadership group for the 2015 season. Rich Henson, captain of the Fight, will be joined by Jared Frymoyer and Patrick Quirk as assistant captains.
“This is a great honor to be named to as an assistant captain,” says Frymoyer whose Fight tenure ranges back to 2009. “We have been playing together for six or seven years, and our chemistry grows every game.” Frymoyer has been a mainstay with the club since his rookie season winning multiple awards with the Fight as well as representing the USA on two separate occasions.
“I am happy to be added to the leadership group,” adds Quirk whose rookie season began with Frymoyer. “We’ve been playing together for such a long time,” Quirk states. Quirk started his career at fullback but has been moved up to play lock for the last two seasons. Quirk has been providing quality play since his first game. He too has also taken home many awards for the Fight.
All three players have been playing together since 2009 for the Philadelphia Fight. “Our time at the Fight has been very good,” says Henson. “They have been assisting me and Pete (Illfield Head Coach of the Fight) for the past couple of seasons so it was fitting to name them assistant captains. These guys have been great teammates and better friends, and I’m excited have them as my assistant captains!”
