Fight form partnership with Philadelphia Wings Lacrosse Team   7:00pm

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

National League Lacrosse team The Philadelphia Wings will host a Rugby League exhibition for the Philadelphia Fight Rugby League Club before their game on Saturday, April 3 at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. This will be the first time the Fight, or any Rugby team, has participated in an event on the turf at the arena.

Fight CEO Ryan McGough commented 'The PBR Philadelphia Fight Rugby League Club is very excited to be able to form this mutually beneficial relationship with the Wings and help expose our great game of Rugby League to a similar fan base in the Philadelphia Region. Playing in front of 12,000 people in an indoor arena for the first time will create a fantastic atmosphere for the players and spectators. The big hits associated with Rugby League will have even more impact on the crowd inside the Wachovia Center. GO FIGHT!'

The Fight, which is a member of the American National Rugby League, utilized the Wings group ticket fund raising program, which offered playing time on the field through the partnership. The event will benefit the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the ALS Association who provide support and resources for ALS patients, their families, and caregivers living in the eastern half of Pennsylvania, central and southern New Jersey, and Delaware.

The Wings will play their first home game against the Boston Blazers at the Wachovia Center on Saturday, January 16 at 7 p.m. Fans should call (215) 389-WING (9464) or visit WingsLAX.com for more information about the game and the group ticket fund raising program. Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, November 11 at 10 a.m.

The Philadelphia Wings are owned and operated by Philadelphia Wings L.P., whose principal owners are Russ Cline, Chris Fritz and Michael French. Comcast-Spectacor serves as the marketing, sponsorship and publicity arm of the Wings.
