The Philadelphia Fight are pleased to announce The Second Annual Clash with Cancer!!
This weekend will mark the second annual Clash with Cancer, presented by the Fight, its sponsors and the Andrew McDonough B+ (Be Positive) Foundation! The B+ Foundation is about Helping Kids Fight Cancer — by raising money to help fund critical, cutting-edge research, providing financial and emotional support to families of children with cancer nationwide, and advocating on their behalf. The Second Annual Clash with Cancer is aimed to raise as much money as possible for families in need.
The Clash with Cancer Charity Match will be played on Saturday, July 8th at 5pm at A.A. Garthwaite Stadium, Conshohocken, PA the Fight’s home grounds. The day has been lined up with very special events for all those in attendance, including the introduction of the Philadelphia Fight’s very own B+ Hero; who will be joining us for the National Anthem, will serve as the honorary captain for the coin toss, and will have a special seat on the Fight bench. There will be games, ice cream trucks, food and drinks available for purchase. All proceeds will go to the B+ Foundation.
In lieu of an admission charge, make a donation at the Philadelphia Fight’s Be Positive Page. Print out or take a screenshot of your donation in order to gain free access at the gates on match day. We will also be accepting donations during the game. If your organization, team or office is interested in creating a fundraising team, you can reach out to us on Facebook.
Last year, the Fight partnered with the B+ Foundation and were able to raise just over $8,000 and are looking for more this time.
“We want to thank the Philadelphia Fight, their sponsors, and fans for their tremendous support of The B+ Foundation and our FIGHT against childhood cancer. You made B+ Hero Sebastian’s day and, for a few days at least, provided him and his family with a wonderful distraction from his battle against childhood cancer. And, because of your fundraising efforts, we will be able to lessen the financial burden on 10 families of kids with cancer. You not only are paying their bills, but you are giving them HOPE. FIGHT ON!”
– Joe McDonough, Founder and President of The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation.
